Step One: Ah, finally my book, The Ape is Dead!, has been released as an e publication by my publisher, Crimson Cloak Publishing (shout out!), using “Smashwords.” I’m excited about it, of course, and ready to start the process of getting the word out. Hmm-mm? I’m not sure what to think about the cover, which bears a likeness to my mug. It’s well drawn, and engaging enough, but I remain uncertain about using my own likeness. I mean, the book is a fictionalized account of college age me, but I would not like the reader to think of me, per se, while he or she reads but rather the main character “Soup,” who’s younger and hotter (alas!), and it’s a hot book, so that ability to imagine may be crucial. Otherwise, I feel pretty good about it and its potential shake things up a bit. Ya heard?
